PROJECT SUMMARY:
The Ekati Diamond Mine, often simply called Ekati, is Canada’s first surface and underground diamond mine, located 200 km south of the Arctic Circle, near Lac de Gras. PENDA Productions was invited to participate in a multi-company tour of mine sites in the Northwest Territories and captured images of the Ekati mine, the dedicated crew working there, and some of its incredible diamonds, in the summer of 2022.
