PROJECT SUMMARY:
Leading up to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, UK (known as COP26) PENDA Productions was approached by the Long Duration Energy Storage Council to create a motion graphics video introducing the global non-profit organization and its purpose. The LDES Council’s mission is to accelerate decarbonization of the energy system at lowest cost to society by driving innovation, commercialization and deployment of long duration energy storage. This will cut global emissions and ensure flexibility in electricity supply, while providing flexible, affordable, reliable, and resilient clean energy solutions.

This project involved creating clear visuals consistent with the LDES Council’s branding and a compelling narrative to illustrate complex and abstract concepts that may be difficult to showcase with traditional filming. PENDA created custom-designed graphics, storyboarded to fit the full video narrative script and animated to create an easy-to-follow graphic video that could be used as part of a live presentation or shared globally across many digital platforms.

Along with the introductory video, PENDA created the LDES Council’s logo animation, which can be used to create brand recognition and consistency amongst all future council video productions.
