PROJECT SUMMARY:
Centre of Training Excellence in Mining (CTEM) plays a leading role in understanding industry skills requirements, facilitating industry-driven training, building, and supporting strategic partnerships between the mining industry, job seekers, and communities. They provide local, site-specific training that aligns with provincial regulations and national occupational standards and provide skills recognition for the training.
The Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR) aligned with CTEM and Newgold’s New Afton Mine to create a promotional video showcasing the benefits of this program and the satisfaction of its recent trainees. PENDA Productions travelled to British Columbia to capture footage and produce the video of the Newgold employees in classrooms and on the mine site, as they completed this training program.
